My work is an innovative blend of modern digital design and traditional jewellery craftsmanship, focusing on creating unique, algorithmically generated pieces that challenge the conventional boundaries of jewellery design.

Describe your current work/practice in one sentence.

Two significant inspirations for my work are the transformative power of technology, which I experiment with in the Seed Collection, and the nostalgic essence of everyday memories, which shines through in the 7 Jours collection. A third source of inspiration is texture, which plays a prominent role in both of my recent collections. As a CAD designer, I am always motivated to represent the unique and relatable textures that can be found both in nature and urban environments in my 3D designs. Together these three elements drive my creative process, allowing me to blend the past and the future into wearable art.

What are three things/ideas that inspire you?

What other things do you do besides your jewellery practice?

Before returning to school to study jewellery design, I was a musician, composer, and audio/visual technician. When I have time I love to revisit music. My focus as a composer is electronic and nostalgic music, and these are definitely themes that overlap in both my jewellery practice and my musical interest.

My favourite piece is 'Necklace No. 84928243' from the Seed Collection. It epitomizes the core concept of Seed through its intricate, computer-generated design that is both technically complex and aesthetically captivating, making it a true statement piece at the center of the collection.

What is a favourite piece that you’ve made and why?

What word pops into your mind when you think of Canadian art jewellery?

The word that comes to mind is “playful.” Particularly among the up and coming class of Canadian art jewellers, there is a playful spirit that allows for experimental designs, and merging whimsy with sophistication and tradition.

Most recently I have been very hard at work preparing stock for the holiday design market season. I was fortunate to have my work selected to be a part of both Souk #19 and the Salon des métiers d'art du Québec à Montréal. Additionally, as a finalist for this years Prix François-Houdé, I have three pieces on display at La Guilde in Montreal as part of the Finalists Exposition, which is on now until Feb 4th. Once these markets are over, I hope to further develop the concept behind the Seed collection, and to spend some time on commission-based work that I haven’t had time for this Fall, as well as putting together a collection of pieces that will be on display at the Dominic Dufour boutique starting mid-February.

What is coming up next for you?
