CAMEO IS AN ONGOING SERIES FEATURING CANADIAN JEWELLERY ARTISTS. HERE, THEY SHARE THEIR LATEST THOUGHTS AND INSIGHTS, AND GIVE US A PEEK INTO THEIR PRACTICE.
My current practice at Harbourfront Centre is focusing on finding a balance between technology and traditional skills that could bring my ideas out in jewellery form.

What other things do you do besides your jewellery practice?
I work as a full time goldsmith at my job, so I basically spend everyday making jewellery. Other than making jewellery, I am trying to live my life and enjoy it!
What is a favourite piece that you’ve made and why?
Angle Two. It was recently in the Placement exhibition in Vancouver by Co-Adorn. Angle series was based on my experience in Canada and took quite a while to put the concept together in my head. This piece was the first one that I felt like I was putting a part of myself in it.

What word pops into your mind when you think of Canadian art jewellery?
I am participating in JOYA 2020! The exhibition for JOYA 2020 is on from September 19 to November 29 in Barcelona, Spain. I cannot physically be in a show due to COVID-19, but I am extremely excited to be a part of the show since this was my goal for the last couple of years. The rest of this year will be spent working on a new collection and I’m hoping to see some good outcomes!
What is coming up next for you?
