Describe your current work/practice in one sentence.

My work centres around the relationships that we, as humans, form with place: going much deeper than the physical location itself; the people, places, and memories that we associate with that place leave a lasting impact on us.

What are three things/ideas that inspire you?

Personal experiences
Homes with a lot of crap in them (the good kind of crap though)
Textiles

What other things do you do besides your jewellery practice?

I’m an avid skier – although I don’t get a lot of time to do that right now! I also love going to museums, being outside hiking and in nature – all that stuff that’s good for the soul!

One of my current favourite pieces is a piece I just ‘completed’ titled Long Past. It’s a 17ft-long woven silver rope, symbolizing the connection between two places and what can link one human to multiple locations so strongly. I think this will be an ever-evolving piece, although in what capacity I’m not exactly sure. Perhaps every time I move to a new place I’ll add more length; maybe some gold will be added after important or significant events. I like that the final outcome is uncertain.

What is a favourite piece that you’ve made and why?
